“Kissed by the sun” an excerpt from “Grains of Sand” – this photo was taken in Naxos, the largest island in the Cyclades.
Places
Icarus
Too close to the sun
I reach, and I fly
You, radiance and magic
Melt away my wings
I lost my words
On a windswept castle
Perched above a glittering village
A volcanic wind blew through our hair
And smelled of forgotten words

In the royal garden
I hear a rhapsody,
of god’s voice
in the hum
of the afternoon cicada
I see the reflection
of a vast sky
and a vaster god
in the lotus pond
