I had my first chance to use my GoPro while snorkeling in Bocas del Toro, Panama. This shot was from about 10 feet down, and really shows the beautiful green that this water turned when the sun came out.
The Sea
Watercolor Diving
I snapped this shot from about 15 feet under the subject, while snorkeling in Bocas del Toro, Panama. Beautiful waters, and nearly crystal clear, although we found out that January wasn’t the best time for snorkeling because of high surf.
Shifting sand
The shallow pools left behind when the waves recede leave a constantly shifting mirage of dunes and landscapes.
Sea turtle staring contest
The expression that this turtle displays in his venerable eyes is part of the reason that I love turtles so much!
Limnian Sunset
This breathtaking view was about 100 meters high on a cliff overlooking the sea. From up here, when the sun was JUST right, you could actually see Mt. Athos on the mainland. Limnos is a Greek island just off the Turkish coast, and has been discussed as far back as Homer.
Puffy fish
Got into a staring contest with this little puffer fish while I was at the Audubon Aquarium of the Americas in New Orleans. Obviously, he won.
Years of poetry, part 2
Thanks to my very talented cousin, Amy Stoll (https://www.facebook.com/AmyStollPhotography/?fref=nf) for putting this together!
Day and night on the beach
A tide pool on Myrtle Beach, South Carolina throws off a reflection that’s unsure if it’s day or night.
